I have seen that if the StartUpImageURL is specified for the ASPNetFlashVideo control, then the AutoPlay="True" will not work.
Would it be possible to have this functionality enhanced so that the start up image will stay on the control until the video is buffered up enough to begin playing, and then once it starts playing (if AutoPlay = "true"), have the StartUpImage removed from the control so the client can see the video?
I have also noticed that the first time a client loads a page with a ASPNetFlashVideo control that has a startup image on it, with AutoPlay = "false", that the startup image does not display, leaving simply a black control with nothing on it. If the client then reloads/refreshes the page, the startup image appears. And every subsequent time the client goes to that page, the startup image appears in the control as intended. This sounds like a bug to me. Whatcha think?

Hey Mark,
We're going to look into this for our next update, which is due out this month. We understand the problem, and we'll look to formulate the best solution to it.
Cheers!

I recently downloaded the aspnetflashvideo player and noticed that the auto-play = true does not work when the startupimageurl is specified (as Mark originally posted).
I was wondering if a fix for this ever made it into a release, or if this is something that will be addressed?
Thank you
