We are trying to install the ASP net suite on a Windows 2003 Server standard edition, and we get an eror 1001. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you for help!

Hi have handed this to our top installer guy.... But here are my tips: 1) If the DLLs are installed on teh developer machine - they do not need to be loaded onto teh server! They will be uploaded ito the BIN directry of your site. 2) If you need a server wide instalation - try downloading the DLLs in a ZIP from http://www.aspnetmedia.com/aspnetmedia_Download.aspxThen copy them to teh global assembly cache. http://www.aspnetmedia.com

It seems that you need administrator privilages to install the msi on your server: http://www.eggheadcafe.com/software/aspnet/35112880/error-1001-during-starter.aspxFrankly though, as Jake said, you shouldn't be installing the controls on your server. the installer is meant for your development environment(s) only - it sets up your visual studio toolbox for you. -Dave
